There has been many speculation among most Malaysians how the Main Stream Media like Television and Newspapers ( which are also Government owned / linked companies ) always have bias reporting to ensure the current government is in good light all the time. Whether that is true or not, I leave it to you to decide, but I found this image online, that was published by one of our Local Newspapers, Berita Harian on their website ( I am not sure if it was publish in their daily today as I don't read it ). The picture seemed to be a doctored one.

Well everyone knows about the top 4 main web browsers, Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla FireFox, Apple's Safari, and Google Chrome. Safari is only available for Windows and Mac OS X, where Internet Explorer is only available for Windows. Now I taught I do something different, instead of talking about any of those 5 browsers, I am going to do a showcase of some of the other browsers (mainly the unknown ones), which are available under Ubuntu.

Well the one thing people from Windows when the jump ship to Linux they always complain that Linux has no games, some of them even dual boot Windows and Linux because of this reason. This has got me thinking sure Linux may not have Mass Effect 2, Dragon Age: Origins or many of the other triple A titles in Windows, but how many people actually play those. Remember Farmville and Mafia Wars, that simple browser game, how many people are playing it ? Certainly more people compare to those playing those triple A games. We can even see this trend in the mobile market. Casual games are dominating. With the rise of casual games, I taught it was a good opportunity for me to check out the casual games available in Linux. The results is staggering.

Hi everyone, it is the new year so I taught I will start it with a perdiction for the year in FOSS and other open source related materials. The list I am doing is in no particular order. The reason however why I am doing this list is because every other website is doing perditions in everything from IT, to security, and even to economy trends, but very few to none are doing stuff about open source related topics.

Well, I have been on the FOSS scene for nearly 2 years or more already. I realize I am no different than most regular people who are on it also. Most of us are just users, we are hardly contributing, so I have decided to start an open source project with my good friend. Here is a wild idea that I have.

I have been using DropBox for over two years already. Yea, I am still using the free service because I am cheap, but it has been such a useful service, that I have it install in all my PCs, Laptops, Netbooks and even my Smartphones. I will try to explain what is DropBox, and why I find it so useful.

Have you guys tried uninstalling Kaspersky before? Recently I bought a competitor brand of Anti-Virus the moment my license needed renewal, but to my horror I found out that it is almost impossible to uninstall Kaspersky.

Yes yes you may have heard that Linux doesn't need a Anti-Virus, it is secure, etc etc all that same old crap from hardcore fanboys. But for those who know better I have found a good and decent Anti-Virus for Linux.

Well as usual again Microsoft takes a swing at the free and open source this time with a video showcasing their flagship product, Microsoft Office versus one of the flagship open source software, OpenOffice.org. It will be interesting to see how this battle progresses when Oracle replies.

Just last year the Oracle finally managed to complete it's acquisition of Sun Microsoft. With Sun under Oracle now I have a feeling that Oracle can finally start offering an alternative to Microsoft business solutions.

Ubuntu is one of the Linux distributions which is constantly improving. I am a late Linux user, I only started since Ubuntu 8.04 and Fedora 10. Even at those versions I found Linux not that difficult to use as some people deem it so.
