Mac Emulator - The Savior of Desktop Linux ?

Ubuntu, Fedora, OpenSUSE, Mint, etc are all great Linux distributions, but there is a way to get desktop linux adoption even higher, which is to forget about WINE and focus on Mac Emulators.

Let's take time to compare the amount of Windows, Linux and Mac OS X applications available, certainly the most number will come from Windows Applications. Most people in the Linux world always say use WINE (or sometimes PlayOnLinux) to get Windows Applications like Games or Microsoft Office to run under linux.

But this got me thinking, why are there efforts being put to make emulation for windows applications, won't it be easier that a Mac OS X emulator be created instead ? Think of it, Mac OS X and Linux are both unix-like Operating System, both use almost same libraries and stuff. There are tons of great applications written from Mac OS X, both free and commercial ones (Photoshop is a good example), so I think it will be a no brainer that there will be more benefits to having a Mac OS X emulation compare to the current WINE.

I am just wandering, will Apple start sueing if there exist a Mac OS X emulator, chances are it is a yes, hence why no one dares to create one. (I checked and couldn't find one, if you know of one please point me to it.)
