Nokia World 2010
Here is my entry for Nokia World 2010 contest
I should get a ticket to Nokia World 2010 because my love and passion for technology knows no bounds, I admire Nokia's capability to constantly produce cut of the edge improvements in mobile technology. Growing up in a country that is largely Nokia based, ( Malaysia ), I have a burning desire to dwell deeper into the mystery of upcoming products and innovations from Nokia.
I am from a country where telecommunication providers all are afraid to embrace the mobile internet section of smartphones as it will eat into their revenue. I love the social aspect of phones, but Mobile Internet in my country is only for the affluent. I have been closely following one of Nokia's Beta Lab products, which is Nokia Instant Community. I love the fact that Nokia has come up with a Social Networking method which does not require a data plan. I would love to see how this technology evolves as it is really benificial to developing countries such as mine.
I am also interested in most things open source related, and Nokia is one of the few companies that have heavily invested in this model. This is prove with their creation of Maemo, then partnering with Intel to merged Maemo and Moblin to create Meego or even the open sourcing of Symbian OS once it was bought over by Nokia.
I always give talks are various technology related conferences, on topics such as mobile technology, social networking and open source. There is a high possiblity that Nokia might showcase all of these at Nokia World 2010, and it would be a great opportunity for me as an evangalist and a developer to learn more about their platforms and solution so it is easier for me to talk about it back in my home country.
I believe in giving credit where credit is due and criticising where there are flaws. Many technology analyst already have written Nokia as a dominant player in the future of Mobile phones, but not me I always remember that Nokia is one of the pioneers in the fields and they will unviel their plans at Nokia World 2010.

Then = Dogs Now = Mobile Phones
Gone are the days where men's best friend was considered to be dogs, instead this role has now to a large extent been taken over by mobile phones. My phone helps me do things that I have never dreamed of doing on the go. This has made my life so much more richer while providing for greater simplicity. Most of this is thanks to the pioneering done by Nokia, and I know there will be more innovations reviel this year.
